Dear Ms.Sapna,
Monetary : You can Motivate team by a gift/Card/Money for Best Productivity, Attendance Awards, Maintain all Discipline of Company, Follow-up of 5S or Kizen, Suggestion for improvement/ Cost Saving (Paper/Electric/Raw Material etc..)
Non Monetary: Best Motivation apart form above every morning (when you fill free) meet with him/her and ask how is he or she if any problem with him or her resolve these issues ASAP.
Thank You,

Dear Sapna,
Non-monetary:
Tell them or define them, the PURPOSE of the work they do as an individual and a society as whole and their contribution, they must know, what they are doing,
Monetary:
You know better than me,
'Better they work, better you pay'

Something slightly different than the many very good suggestions:
Make employees feel that they are part of the goals that you are trying to achieve on the shop floor and/or the company by being transparent about how the work that they perform helps the company reaches particular goals and outcomes. For example, (hypothetical), if your company produces wheel chairs - every week, let them know how many wheel chairs were made that week, where the chairs were shipped and how many people that they've helped become more independent with their hard work, (and their quality work).
When employees understand how what they produce helps other people, or companies they feel more like a part of the company and less like just another spoke in the wheel.

Dear Sapna,

Form various committees like sport, canteen, transport, women, welfare which shall be included 60% workers,30% staff(mainly accounts,HR,Purchase, maintenance etc) & let them take the decisions with majority after discussion in committee meetings. But final authority shall be with you only which you have to handle diplomatically.

Also conduct small ceremony to announce worker/star of the month & during this ceremony u can have monthly B'Day celebration also.

Once in a month organize Family Day (Emp Code wise) where max 4 workers' families (Husband/Wife,2 Children,Parents) can visit company to see its operation/function. During this visit u also can organise few indoor games which can be played with worker & his family.Involve Factory Head/Director also in this event. Arrange transport facility to pick-Drop workers' family from Home to Company & give full day leave with wages to those workers.

Make a group of workers (15 to 20 ) & conduct in-house Supervisory Development Program or Behavioral Training where few funny videos,Motivational clips etc are showed with our planned training contents.

Dear Sapna,
One vital point I would like to add further. How your managers treat their subordinates or workers? Workers motivation also depends on that. Do you company has culture of involvement? Does every member feels he is part and parcel of the company or they come to work because they take salary?
Do managers exhibit "I know all" attitude? Do they listen to their staffs?
A well-motivated manager will further motivate his subordinates. Now you need to check first motivation of the managers itself. Do you managers know what to talk and what not to talk in front of the subordinates? Do they criticise or talk negative of senior management personnel in front of the workers? These factors also matter lot.

Hi Mam

Hope you are doing good... coming on to the issue regarding motivation of workers in factory, i would suggest you will have to work on strategies other than what we normally follow like monetary incentives and involvement of families and all that as if we talk about the cader and life style of these workers its completely different from highly qualified personnel. most of your workers if given monetary incentives will spend on activities like drinking, smoking, drugs etc. i hope u understand what i mean so u ll have to deal with them in a different manner. What i ll suggest you is to meet them and their family personally, make them realize that they are very important pillars of the company and how much they mean to company. I would suggest you to conduct programs and educate them against ill effects of all these anti social activities, conduct program like awareness for aids, family planning, importance of education for their children, polio drops awareness, healthy living etc. plan this programs and involve their family members also. Motivate them to work hard so that they can earn more money and better position in society which would further help them to educate their children and get a healthy and better life style. Give them live examples how they can prosper in life with hard work and discipline. First try to understand their life style, their problem, resolve these problems, try to get close to them which would help you gain their confidence and than once you gain their confidence it would be easier for you to further motivate them. I know its a bit tedious process but trust me it will work because if you will give monetary incentives their basic problem will not solve they will get motivated to work hard but again after few months once they will get used to it you will face the same problem. So i ll suggest to deroot the problem and the only way to resolve it is to step into their shoes and than plan accordingly.

Hope my suggestion will work for you!!!
