Dear Friend,
Its mandatory for an organization to issue a offer letter / appointment letter to its new employee...
I suggest you discuss to your HR and get it issued.
Offer letter is given before the joining date ensuring that you accept the offer from the organization.
Appointment letter is issued once that candidate joins the company.

Dear Ayan,
I accept the grammatical mistake made by my friend...
But let me point out that not everyone is well versed with English...
Instead of correcting his mistake, we should help him clear out his query, after all we are HR professionals and we should try to help our people no matter what and not sit and correct them on their every statement.

Dear Sir,
While joining in the organization, you have to insist the appointment order.
As you have joined and worked for sometime, taken salary etc. It is implied that you have
accepted the appointment without any order.
Now they are terminating you by giving service certificate and Relieving order. It is also
great favor to you, please collect and show the service certificate to the joining organization.

Take your shoe in ur hand and beat ur employer n ask if a person is not having any offer or appointment letter, how a person is releived from company.

Hi Prathmu,
If you can observe the Relieving letter, there would be details regarding CTC, EMployment Tenure, Conduct, your name, Employee ID and the reporting managers details only that is enough for the proof fof your employment

Dear Anamika
It is surprising to note that you are working with an IT company without any offer letter or appointment letter. How you have joined in that company. Simply based on the oral information from your boss ? Is your name recorded in the official rolls of the company ? I think, it seems, the company wanted to observe your performance by providing a job without any offer/appointment letter. So the company wanted to tender resignation. It is better you meet your boss personally, explain the circumstances, and assure him of your good performance and tell him that you will work hard for the growth and development of the company, and request your boss to give you the appointment letter with usual terms and conditions. I also suggest you to identify the needs of your company, observe the style of functioning of your boss, and discharge your duties with utmost satisfaction of your boss, so that you may not have any problems officially.
Good luck

Thanks Suri babu and Rohan..
i have made up my mind to leave the company.and now the head of the company giving me reason that i am liability of company..and if they wanted to judge my performance then 15 days was enough to judge someone's performance.Neither my name is recorded in official rolls of the company nor appointment letter.and if you talk about face to face discussion the head of the comapny did not say anything directly but through senior HR.yes only on oral info. i was working there.
warm regards,
Anamika
