Identify each manager’s comments about employees according to the Theory X and Theory Y as given below:
1.‘Be careful with it now because I will not bear this messy work like you did the last time”. ________________ (My answer is Theory X)
2.“Thanks, I am confident you will do a good job”. _____________ (My answer is Theory Y)
3.“Select the format you require for this assignment and get it to me for checking when you finish it”. ____________ (My answer is Theory Y)
4.“I will be checking up on you to make sure the job get done successfully on
time”. _______________ (My answer is Theory X,)
5.“I know you think it’s a lousy job, but someone has to do it then why not you get it done”. ______________(My answer is Theory Y)

Thanks for that link. I had not heard about the XY Theory before.
Have worked for so many Theory X managers during my working life!! Now I know why I had such a bad time with them! If only we could banish them off the face of the earth.
