Hello,

Experience, bookish knowledge and definitions are terms that can mislead anyone.

I suppose the interviewer was looking for your conceptual base and framework on this subject.

The beauty is the concept. Words that describe the concept are just a vehicle. Experience will help you describe what you have been doing in this field. Both may prove inadequate to demonstrate your command, comprehension and insights in the subject.

And if the concept is right, rest are mere toosl and techniques that one uses to realise the concept.

This is not to undermine the sugnificance of tools and techniques at all. But they come after the concept.

And yes guidelines (by way of readymade answers-and I am sure you are not asking for that!) are given in this reply.

The answers you provide to any question must be your OWN and not the ones provided by anyone.

I suggest that you use the guidelines to present your concept. I suppose the interviewer was asking you precisely that!!

Need more help? Kindly take a contact!

Cheers and Regards

Dear Annuradha,
As you are experienced in that field, I fail to understand your query. Do some research on the organisation and the job in question and reflect on how your past experience will help theorganisation do better.
As Samvedan rightly points out, it's better to form your own answer than seek help from us who are not privy to the job requirements.
Have a nice day.

Dear Anuradha
The reply for your question is already rightly given by Mr. Samvedan. As you are experienced for about 7 years, the management might have decided to allot you with new task. That is the reason they might have asked you about the Training and Development and to check whether you have understood the concept and correct meaning of the T&D.
If you conceptually understood the purpose of Training and development, then your management has got the right person for their new task.

Training is the best instrument to ensure development. Both are complimentary. however let us not to forget that trainers are the ppl with special traits and different approach. training with out hard work, devoid of objectivity, without specifics is generalized and conceptually it will b weak. It is the corner stone to achieve end results. let us believe and trust that a strong foundation can withstand major and minor jerks of earthquakes. Training helps us to become mentally and physically robust. This helps us to face all the odds with out getting panic. It is preposterous to think that one can progress without learning....this is my personal opinion...others are welcome to support or contradict...

Training is the process to achieve development..It is continuous till the achievement. It depends upon the person concern who is attaining the training that how much he/she is concentrated towards the goal. Quarries comes from that and answer is being created by analysis. It is continuous process. So Training & development are two sides of a coin. All the friends has given the guideline...now you are best person to utilize your experience to face your present.
