you can various of celebrations...like having a birthday party of every employee...
you can even have party for special days like:-
Friendship Day
Valentine Day
Guru Poornima (where every employee can get a chance to thank his.her boss)
Dasserra
You can also orfanise mothly picnics to a new location or weekly picnic where in every employee can satisfactorily do their work and can also enjoy..

fancy dresses, sari day :shock: :shock:
games,, posters, paintings,, all hanged in offices, thoughts scribbled on office room walls , with color pastels,,,, drawing with crayons and make the office like home :) :) :)

I suggest you can actually brainstorm various activities month wise...
matching it with festivals etc.
I did this exercise few days back, may be helpful to you, chk this out..
Environment Day a Tree Plantation (will be a csr initaitive as well)
Independence Day a Movie Day

Diwali a Decoration/ Rangoli at all office locations
b Sweet and Gift Packs
c Inter Region Quiz Competition
d Employee get together

Christmas a Decoration
b Cake distribution

New Year a Decoration
b New year greeting for all at residence
c Lunch at office

Republic Day a Cricket Matches

Holi a Holi party in evening(colours and evening snacks)
think of some themes.. for dresses..may be last saturday of every month ppl can have theme dress code...all in denim, all in white etc...
rest take ppl out for outing...best way to bond!

Thanx for the nice ideas. We are already organising such events. Now we need something unique. Moreover we need activities that are not routine and keep the employees engage and destress them.
Pls suggest some more.

CSR is corporate social responsibility....
do read the Social Accountability SA 8000, Global Reporting Initiative, Ethical Trading initiative...
standards are freely avl on the websites of the parent bodies....
dont mistake CSR for couple of charitable acts in a year...
let me cite a better example:
A paper n pulp mill apart from decreasing its environmental footprint, shoul support NGOs engaged in promoting the use of "non chlorine bleached paper", sponsor paper recycling clubs in companies, source paper from its own plantations or captive planatations rather than buying cheap wood by illegally cutting forests.
let me know which industry you belong to ?
we can start working from there....
but remember one thing, if your Company's top mgmt doesnt not believe in the same then no point in banging your head against a wall..
