Dear Sir,
Please guide me how to define pay scale.
I am working in Garments company where more than 300 employees are working. There is all type of worker working means Managers, Executives, Supervisors, Daily rate workers, Piece rate worker, contract workers. Now here no system for increment, salary proposal, pay scale but recently i newly appointed there and my Director giving first task is that please define pay scale for our employees.
So you are requested that please give suggestion how to do???????????

Divide the total manpower in ur company into Staff & Worker
Staff -
ceo. coo. P'S, VP'S ,GM'S, DGM's,Sr. MGR, Managers,DM'S , AM,Sr Exe, Executives, Supervisors
- 5 to 10 point rating scale
Workers- Evaluation based on skill matrix/ on the job skills and payment based on evaluation of minimum wages
Division :
Skilled -
Semiskilled
Unskilled
& then
Contract labour catagory n payment same as above but after discussion wih the contractor, very highly skilled to be converted to permanant workers if needed by the company
