Dear, No stipulated standing orders for a particular industry. You can use the model standing order given in the Standing Orders Act. Please refer the following files S.Sethupathy

validity of model standing orders is six months and thereafter you have to have your own standing orders and get it certified by an Officer not below the rank of Dy. labour Commissioner. Attached is a draft of Standing orders which can be modified according to your requirements.

Dear seniors
I have a question that, is standing order same for all companies, Or depending on company profile. Please clarify my doubts and give a sample for me to be confident in particular area.
I will always thankful to you.
thanking You

Obviously each company has its own standing orders. The rules/clauses to be incorporated in the standing orders depends upon the company policy. It should be acceptable to the employees also. In case the company has trade union, the copy of the draft should be given to the union and their concurrence taken and the trade union representatives will be signatories to the standing orders. In case the company without trade union, the certifying authority will select from among the employees few representatives and the certification will be done only after taking their concurrence. This means that it is not one sided but will reflect employees' agreement to the clauses. Depending upon the behaviour of the employees and the nature of the industry, therefore, standing orders will differ from company to company.

Thanks a-lot
But i have some confusion yet, Is that possible that a company run successfully without standing order. If a company have his won standing order behalf of his company policy, My Question is that, Is the standing order authorizes by Labour Commissioner or only MD of the concern. Please reply me to see not only manufacturing concern but a project base company also.

I think I have made it clear that Standing Order is mandatory for establishments covered by Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act. Similarly, it is not one sided but it should be accepted by the employees and then certified by the Labour Department. That means it is not some thing that can be decided only by the MD or owner of the company but to be accepted mutually by both the employer and the employees.

dear mr shivananda
There is no industry specific standing orders. You can follow the Model standing orders given under Industrial employment standing orders act. In case you wish to carry out any change which is consistent with the standing orders act, you can do so but you require certification from the authority, i.e. the Addl Commissioner of Labour after following the procedure for the same.
