Hi,
I left my company in November 2010 and received my last two months salary as full and final settlement in January 2011.
But the amount i received in the full and final settlement are not included in the Form 16 i have received from them.
Ideally there should not be any refund, but if i use my form 16 to file it return i am getting a refund of 3000. But i am afraid it may look like fraud.
Should i include the amount i received in the full and final settlement in my it return or ask my previous company to reissue the form 16 they have sent me.

You can cross check with your previous organisation regarding your IT deduction. Normally, your IT deduction made from the beginning of the accounting year. If deduction exceeds, they may not remit from your full and final settlement. Please check with the concerned.
Note : 1. You have to collect form 16 from the concerned department.
2. Voluntarily you can show your income.
