Most of the appointment letter would have a line mentioned sub to changes at the discretion of the management
so if the company has decided to move from one month to three months then they can do so
on human grounds the company can ask the HR to have employee session and convey the massages as to why such move is been implemented

Dear Friends,
Is it fare that employer recover notice period on gross salary????
In my appointment letter there is no any explaination that notice peiod will be recover on gross salary..
Only it is defined that if employee wish to switch over before three months then employee has to pay three month's salary.
Now wats your opinions in this matter. If i am not paying gross salary then they will not releave me.
So what we can do in this case???? Please give your valuable advices.

Hi
The company can not unilaterally change the terms of employment.
The employee has to agree to it, specially where it is a critical item like change in notice period.
The offer letter / appointment letter is a contract based on which the employee has joined the company. So naturally it can not be changed by the employer at his whims and fancy.
