What exactly is this A, B and C area ? Ours is a metal trading house in Mumbai..so which area does it come under ?

Hi all
The Area "A",and Area "B" shall respectively complrises of all the places as specified in the Annexure to the notification , include all places within 15 kilometer from the periphery of Municipal Corporation or Municipality or Cantonment Board or Notified Area Committee of a particular place . and Area "C" shall comprise all other places not mentioned in the Annexure to which the Minimum Wages Act 1948 extends

SKILLED :Wireman, turner, Engineer, fitter, Designer, Forman, Tester, Tele. operator, Winder, Electrician, Assembler, Carpenter, Accountant, Head Clerk, Store keeper etc. etc.
SEMI SKILLED : Assistant-Turner Fitter Winder wireman Clearicle staff etc. etc.
UN SKILLED : Sweeper, Guard, Helper, Peon, Gardenkeeper etc etc.

ALSO NOTE THAT THERE IS TWO LABOUR COMMISSIONER i.e. LABOUR COMMISSIONER (CENTRAL) AND LABOUR COMMISSIONER STATE.
THE LABOUR COMMISSIONER STATE = COVER ALL INDUSTRIES PRIVATE, PUBLIC SECTOR ETC.
THE LABOUR COMMISSIONER (CENTRAL) = COVER THOSE INDUSTRIES WHOSE CONTROL UNDER CENTRAL GOVT. LIKE IOCL, BPCL, REFINERIES, GAIL, ONGC, BSNL ETC. ETC.
ABOVE BOTH AUTHORITY CAN'T INTEREFER EACH OTHER INDUSTRIES.
