Pls tell me why Form 11 is to be filed and whether it can be deposited to the PF Dept. for Pension Fund Withdrawal, is the withdrawal of Pension Fund possible without Retirement?
From India, Calcutta
dear Amit,
withdrawal of Pension before retirement is not possible. Also note that if a person has completed 10 years in service where his PF contribution has not been withdrawn & it is accumulated then the individual has to apply for a Pension Scheme Certificate. Cross check about the same with somebody senior . this is as per my knowledge what i have written. thanks.

Dear Amit
Form No.11 ( Eleven) under EPF scheme pertains to information provided by an employee while joining a new employer, about his previous previous employments with name and address of employers along with duration of service. In this form a new joinee also declares that whether he was previously a member of EPF scheme or not. This form is to be kept by an employer and not to be deposited with Sub/Regional commissioner. EPF inspector while inspecting records of an establishment may ask for these forms to check the eligibility criteria.

Hi.

The Form 11 of EPF is a declaration by the employee for certifying that wherever has has worked/or not worked, he never had a PF account number. The govt has introduced this form in order to stop the system of having multiple numbers of one employee. i.e. suppose you joined A co. you had X PF account no. and later you joined you had Y PF account no. in that case employee should get the PF account transferred thru his employer, that's a responsibility on the employee but nobody does that. in order to save themselves, the employer gets the form 11 filled by the employee and this form is kept with the employer only and it shud be produced before the inspector upon inspection.

For withdrawal of fund before 10 years, the employee can withdraw fund thru form 19 and form 10C and after 10 years thru form 10C and 10D, but after 10 years he can only withdraw provident fund, the pension fund is transferred to employees pension account, which he will get after retirement.

I hope it's clear to you now.

Hi,
I applied for PF transfer from previous to current company in OCt 2009. The online status in EPF Chennai Site was "Referred to other Region" before against the form 13 and now the form type is changed to Form 11 and the status is "under process". Kindly let me know what is happening behind this process and steps needed to be taken up from my end. Thanks and appreciate your time on this.
Thanks
