Dear Members,
I am interning at a Radio Station and have been asked to determine what policy is beneficial for the increment or for the bonuses that are provided to the "Sales" team.
The issue is that is there any particular formula that is used for this industry or is up to the seniors to decide. Secondly, is the percentage applicable to all hierachial levels or should the lower levels get more percentage increment?
I am very confused your help would be very beneficial.
Thanks

-Generally it has been seen that the Companies fixed salary to sales employees and fix some percentage of commission if they will achieve above the target level over and above their salary
- As for As increment is concerned there are various point should be look after for sales team like how much he is achieving his targets , What is the behvior of that employees etc on these basis you make their performance appraisal and given them % of increment.

Dear Rija,
u r telling about radio station where ample number of employees might have been appointed, So, it will be better for u to establish pay scale structure wherein the rate of increments have been specified, hence question of quantum of increment shall be solved. Those who has good or best performance then they shall get more increments, on the contrary the bad guys shall lose an opportunity to get increment.
Secondly, Bonus is another issue which is calculated on 12 months basic salary of concern accounting year. Those who worked at least one month for salary/wages and getting salary/wages below Rs.10000/-p.m are entitled for bonus. percentage should not be varied for upper level or lower level.Bonus can be declared in between 8.33% to 20% as per the projection of balance sheet , profit & loss A/c. of concerned Acct. year.
