Dear Sonali,

As a guideline i can tell you how to prepare salary slip.

It varies from company to company upon its policies.

You may use following formula for salary calculation

Salary = Basic + D.A. + H.R.A ( 50% of basis(Metro)/(40% of basic (Non Metro) + Conveyance Allowance + Special Allowance + Metro Allowance/ Site Allowance + L.T.A. + Performance Bonus ( Variable) - PF - Superannaution - ESI - Professional Tax.

Above is mere guideline.

Now on calculation of PF -> PF is deducted from Employee's salay @ 12% of basis. This you need to show in his Salary Slip.

Employer also contributes the same 12%+1.61% (Admin Charges) subject to 6500 basic pay. Out of this 12%, 8.33% goes to EPS and rest 3.67% goes to PF balance (i.e. 239).

ESI : Employee State Insurance is calculated at 1.75% on the gross salary of the employees whose salary is below Rs. 15000/-permonth and Employer contributes 4.75% on the gross salary of the employee and the aggregate 1.75% + 4.75% is remitted to the ESI Department.

Apart from this you may include different benefits that compay gives to employees.
