hi i am Pradnya may i know, what are the expectations of employee & employer from the Training & development process in the manufacturing industry. so that the T&D program will be effective.

Before conducting the training the aim and outcome of the training is decided very clearly...
Then the potential employees are found within d organization and the training is given to them and the employer expects the reward in the long run in terms of output or more productivity or more simple method of doing the work and reducing the rework and eliminating the unwanted steps in doing work..
Then at regular interval the feedback is taken and evaluated that how effective the training is and on the basis of that the further training is to be given or not is decided.
The program to be effective depends on many factors like,
Trainer, place, the type of employee involved, their motivation level, etc..

What managers and employees can expect will depend on the nature of the training program. Even manufacturing process workers will sometimes engage in training that not directly related to how to produce a widget, such as team building and communication skills.

So, speaking in general, managers can expect that:

-employees will work more efficiently

-employees will exhibit higher morale

-employees will work more safely

-employees will work more effectively

-employees will stay longer with the organization

-employees will work more autonomously

Not all of these will apply in every case, of course. And, more specifically, employers should expect whatever the defined outcomes of the training program were. So, for example, if the aim of the training program was to reduce defect rates by 20 percent, that is what employers should expect.

The same holds for employee expectations. In addition, employees may expect that:

-they will get continuing employment

-the training program is challenging and enjoyable

-they will form stronger bonds with their peers

-they will be respected

-there is a career progression path for them
