hi, i am doing a project on offer decline analysis. Its different from Attrition. It is an anlaysis regarding people declining offers after an offer has been issued to them. They do not Join the company only. Required some advice on how to go about it. Have right now found out the reasons as to why people decline offers. Would like to get some advice on How it can be reduced and how a project report can be made on this topic.

Hi,
Identify the offer letters issued to different categories of employees/departmentwise. Out of that, get the no of employees joined and not joined.
Now, you have clarity on % employees not joined. Get this list month wise. You will have the trend for position/category.
Then review, the company's terms with the terms in the market. This may give an idea why people not joining. Also, you should keep in mind the people who are leaving the company and what reason, which you get from employee exit forms.
The offer letter declines can be reduced if you can findout the expectations of the employee and are we meeting them by providing offer in our company.
Hope this is useful. If you want any inputs, please revert back.

Hi Gitika,
I have seen many candidates declining the offers, after issuing the offer letter, probably becoz they survey around the market, to know where do they stand, once they get the offer letter mentioning the salary, they go to another company expecting hike than the salary mentioned in the offer letter, and settle with a better pay, as there is lot of attrition around companies are ready to poach people, ignoring the candidates stability issues...

Hi, Trend means, the monthly trend % within the company ( previous 12 months ). Not the Market trend. Murali.
