Dear all,
I am working in Hospital Industry. We have the system of giving compulsory annual increment in salary. Kindly suggest me the grounds / parameters to deny the due increment.
Thanks

Dear Shashi,
Is there something in your Employment Contract / HR Manual that says increment is "compulsory"? Do you have a system of performance appraisals? If not, then increments are at the sole discretion of the management based on performance of the individual, financial performance/status of the company etc.
My understanding may be wrong, but in the private sector, increments are not a matter of right - but more a case of mutual understanding.
