Dear friends,
Could you please let me know whether ESI contribution to be on arrears or not as per act? If so, please give details (Act). I checked with ESI local office Branch Manager. She informed that contribution to be paid on arrears also. Because we increased salary from 8000 to 13000 in this month, but w.e.f. 01.05.2010. If I calculate arrears, it is coming to around 30,000. Please clarify my doubt.

Further I need one more calrrification that, When we have to make the ESI payment on that salary arrears? For example If we are going to pay salary arrears of April 2011 in the month of June 2011 when will be the last date for payment of arrears of ESI contribution due date??

Now in the month of April, we have deducted the ESI of employee and deposited the same. Now after the increment his salary above the 15,000/- Should we stop the ESI contribution or it will continue till September 2013.
