Dear All,
I have recently joined a company which has started a new venture in real estate consultancy business.
I am unable to attract candidates as ours is not an established brand.
Since my employer is emphasizing on cheapest recruitment measures, I can not afford to have a good job portal or consultants too.
Kindly help me in this regard.
I am supposed to hire 4 sales persons in 5-6 days !!
Thanks
Swati Sharma

Speak to your employer and tell him that mapping good candidates as per the available resources is not a peice of cake. It takes time n effort. If he wants to hire someone withing 5-6days, then tell him that u wont be able acquire the right person for the right job which is a crucial factor. In short term you would be only filling a vacancy, but sooner than later a vacancy filled up in a hurry will create more problems than not having filled it up at all. Assure your employer that you would take 3-4weeks time before you can actually use the available resources to fill it up with a decent candidate. Else there will be a game of musical chairs at your office with people coming and going....................rgrds

Dear Swati,
You can find plenty of job seekers, if you take the following action:
- Make recruitment personally;
- Pepare a job description sheet for the employees in consultation with your employer;
- Advertise in local or regional paper;
- Shortlist the applicants, who seem to be most fit for the job;
- Constitute a selection board, with your employer, as the head of the selection board;
- Fix a date of interview that suits the members of the selection board; and
- Arrange to conduct interview of the shortlisted candidates on the appointed date.
- Select 4 candidates on the spot, as considered by the board to be the most suitable persons for the job; and
- Keep at least 2 candidates on the waiting list to meet with the contingency of some selected candidates not joining the organization.

Dear Swati
Consider points mentioned below
-Use electronic resources such as Orkut community; Facbook (creat ur own add rather), search for Google groups of tier III B schools (assuming u guys wont pay much) of past and present batches; post ur requirement thr.
-Call local B school's office...see What they can do.
-Also look for candidate working in same industry through linked in (company search then employee search) send them email ask them to forward.
You can do it...Best wishes
