Hi,
As an HR summer project i need to do something in Balance scorecard (BSC).
So any suggestions? Would designing a BSC be a good one? As far as i have read abt BSC......it is more of converting strategy into results in all the business dimensions not only HR, so can it be taken as an HR project?
Is developing BSC a must before developing an HR scorecard? b'coz finally i am more interested in HR scorecard.
Can an organisation let me analyse its BSC to develop an HR scorecard?

Put simply, the Balanced Scorecard methodology is an exercise in converting strategy into measurable units, turning strategy into something tangible that can be measured. While HR Scorecard ideally should be tied to a Business scorecard, there is no reason why not to develop HR scorecard as a standalone. As long as you have access to business strategy you should do fine in defining just how HR helps driving business strategy.
hope this was of help

HI,
BSC is a broader picture of how the companies strategy is defined along with the specific four paramenters of measurement.
While developing functional scorecard (including HR) what we all must keep in mind is that is a sub division of Org Scorecard and must under all given circumstances add to the over all business strategy.
Now if u intend to design an HR scorecard, my suggestion would be to do a research on your company starategy, mission and objectives. Based on those cues u can define an HR BSC. But always bear in mind that it must show specific areas of allignment with the company Score Card.
Thanks
