I have unique question arised.
Last month I have went for inspection of our sub-contractor's premises in Kerala who used to do processing work for us.
when I asked him if he has Factory licence to operate the factory, which he don't have. He told me that he is having small scale industry certificate registration. I get little confused and question arrives:
If Factory has got S.S.I. Certificate, don't be it mandatory that it should have factory licence also. or whether factory do not need to get factory licence to operate the factory once it get S.S.I. Certificate.

dear all, if the strength of manpower is more than 20 workers/employees then it is manadotory to have a Factory License.

I have an export house in varanasi, my company is registered in SSI. in 2010 there were 15 employees in my factory but now from july 2011 i have 40 employees. right now an audit is due in my factory the auditor required factory license, i want to know should i applied for factory license or my SSI registration can full fill the requirement of audit
