Hello,
I have opted for scheme certificate in form 10c.

My query is, once I receive scheme certificate
1) Do I have to submit it to the PF office thru the current employer or
2) can I personally submit it to the PF office
3) Can this be submited at once, I mean once I retire (opt for pension )

My current employer is not aware of scheme certificate, can you please help me as to how I need to proceed.

Thanks

Dear Vishal,
Scheme Certificate in Form 10 C is to be submitted for retention of your membership. You will have to get this attested by your previous employer and through your current employer this shall be submitted to the EPFO. Scheme Certificate can be opted in the event of not completing 10 years of services. This is opted in lieu of Withdrawal benefit.

Dear friends
Getting attestation from the previouse employer is not necessary. Keep the orignal and take a xerox copy. Get attestation from the current employer and submit to the PF Office through the current employer. Get the acknowledgement from PF Office. That's all

Dear Alphonse,
In case the claimant is unable to get it attested by previous employer, the same came be submitted with an attestation from the Manager of the Bank or a Gazetted Oficer. In any case EPFO needs an attestation as an authentication of the claim.

Dear Vishal,
I would like to know your age and also years of service in PF. As Scheme Certificate is used to retain your Pension fund till you attain the age of 58 and then get your monthly pension or you can opt for reduced pension on attaining a age of 50 years and you are no more working. But as I understand you are currently working, you can transfer the fund instead of opting for Scheme Certificate.

Hello Munidar, I am 30 yrs old. I have opted for scheme certificate in form 10c and withdrawal benefit in form 19. I did this to retain my pension fund. Thanks Vishal

Dear Vishal,
You may either send the scheme certificate to the present PF office thr' present employer to add up with the present service or surrender scheme certificate while applying for pension so that the previous service will also be added with the present. But in the first choice kindly make it confirmed that the previous service got added with the present. The original Scheme Certificate once surrendered cannot be regained later.
