Dear All, Kindly confirm whether is there any rule that the companies should adopt a formal dress policy.

There is no rule as such. It all depends on the culture of your organization and the business you are in...
Choose what you think is right for you , but try never to evaluate people on the dress they are wearing :)

Dress code is very upcoming issue now - a days.more and more organisations are going for it to create a certain image in the minds of customers.Its of course a part of Organisation culture and often it can be enforcedn through circulars.Even though there may be few employees who would prefer not to follow a dress code but most of them would have no problems in adopting it.

hi i am rafeeque from ooty here iam giving suggestion for the dress code
some organizations have thier own dress policy these are the common dress code for the employees
women
suit: preferably skirt suit,pants
skirt:not overly short or tight
makeup:minimum , nothig too boldt
jwellery:nothing, too large or noisy that would be distrsctig
perfume: lite application, if any
nylones/dress socks-in similiar color tone to clothing
shoes- no sneaksers or sandals
Men
Suit preferable- jacket, tie, & slacks acceptable
Cologne- lite application, if any
Jewelry- nothing too large or noisy that would be distracting.
Dress socks- try to closely match the color of your dress pants
Shoes- no sneakers or sandals
