Hi,
Need help in deciding from where do I pursue MBA / PGDM in HR.
Have gone through various forums, but have not received any concrete information.
Also would prefer if the degree is MBA and not PGDM. Have lost many opportunites due to lack of "MBA" ( Would also appreciate if someone could tell me the difference between the two degrees)
I have 8 years of experience in Recruitment and Operations, and cannot manage to attend classes; hence correspondence seems to be the right option.

Hi Meghna,
First, the difference between MBA and PGDM is inconsequential...what matters is ur course content and the institute u pursue it from...its only an accredition that makes a PGDM program an MBA...and many of the private institutes providing PGDM are far better than many universities providing MBA's...
Second, in case u r interested in pursuing a distance learning program...some good options would be:
-SCDL
-NMIMS
-XLRI
these institutes offer distance learning courses and are well acclaimed. u can find more details abt the courses on the respective sites.

Hi Meghna,
I feel that Symbiosis is the choice in terms of its acceptance, but then they do not offer 'MBA' in their distance learning program. What they offer is PGDM only.....so u need to make a choice now.
You can also look at Amity as they are having an acclaimed MBA which is completely online. You can visit www.amityelearning.com
All the best with your search....if you come across any other institute or university giving good Distance learning programs, do let me know.
Till then take care
Cheers :-)

Hi Meghana, You can opt for Symbiosis. But there are many other institutions which offers better correspondence MBA courses. I think you should research for that. Regards, Eins Education
