Hi Vishakh,
First you go thru PMS as a subject just to know the knowledge of the subject. Its a wide area. As u r starting a project u must be undergoing trng in a Company itself, so u wl hv to co-ordinate with HR dept to observe how they operate Perf Appraisal System there. U will get to know the strengths and weaknesses of the system nd u can also suggest them if you observe any. You will get to know abt TNIs, KRAs, Performance Planning, Succession Planning etc etc under this area.
I hv also opted for this project in my Company as i m pursuing MBA (HR) thru distance learning...

First you need to tell which industry or compnay are you joining to do your internship becuase you can apply one type of performance appraisal in every industry or company and you can refer CB GUpta - Human Resource Managt book for PA .

Before doing the performance measurment it is necessary to know the job description of each employee ,then what kind of process flow takes place in that organisation i.e study the process flow of that organisation
and then set the parameters for each job . i think if you will fallow this sequence it is surly going to help you.
