Dear Members,
I would like to understand the growth prospect of HR person working in NGO.
I have received a very good offer from a NGO for the Sr. Position in a NGO, and therefore would like to understand the role of HR in NGO. I'm being told that an experience of HR person working for an NGO is valid for further jobs in NGO itself and I feel their are very few Gud NGO's in the country., so it that the prospects for my further job would reduce.
Pls. clarify.

HR is considered as support service function. When you have decided to join NGO, please check followings:
a) Budget alloted for HR activities
b) Funding sources for the NGO
c) Staff alloted to HR unit
HR is not a key function is NGO.
