I have just joined a Compny 2 months back as a HR Manager, wherein my profile would only include Recruitment. Now, after joining, the boss is asking me to make salaries of the Employees Dept. wise. But I neither have any knowledge nor experience of making salaries. Today I hv to make salaries. So that slaries can be distributed tomorrow. I don't hv any1 to help me here & they dont have that software, that prepares the salaries & the salary slips.

You dont need to do extra, u can findout the format of salary sheet and others in cite hr.
For your basic knowledge you can use this
PF Employee :- 12% of Basic Salary
ESIC Employee :- 1.75% of Gross Salary (upto 15000) where washing allowance is exempted.
Pf Employer is 3.67% & 8.33% in penssion fund
admin charges is 1.61%
Esic Employer is 4.75% of Gross salary(upto 15000) where washing allsownace is exempted.
you may mail to get the salary sheet format.....

Ask the boss who was handling salary till now and how is it being prepared.
You cannot make it one day if there is not system for it.
You would need the details of the salary structure, the salary of each employee, the deductions etc.
It also involves statutory compliances.

It will be of immense help to bloggers if you give more details about your organisation: how large is it; for how many people have you got to prepare and pay salary, who was doing the job before and whether (s)he is still employed in the company, etc.
As (Cite Contribution) has rightly point out, whether you can prepare it within a day depends upon the number involved.
