Dear All,

I need some help from the members of citehr.

I am working on a project of Leave Encashment.

In our company an employee can accumulate upto 180 days and leaves accumulated more than 180 days gets encashed.

We would like to now cut down the accumulation of leave to 90 days....

Help Required:

1) Can you pls tell me about the leave policies in your company (outline)?

2) How many leaves are there in your company?

3) How many days of leaves (PL/EL) are allowed to be accumulated yearly in your company?

4) If the leaves (PL/EL) are accumulated above the prescribed limit, then does the leaves lapses or it gets encashed?

5) Whether encashment of leaves (PL/EL) are given on basic or on monthly salary?

Any suggestions or answers to my queries can be send directly to my email id or through mobile 09869851356.

I will assure you that all the information shared will be kept confidential from my side...

I also assure that i will share the project with my CiteHR friends once it gets completed....

Kindly co-operate and help me in my project..

Regards

leave should try not to be 'company orientated' . The law- the labour law says such such days are entilted to leave for employees. In my company we follow with the labour law for our colleagues. LM.

Hi Ankit,

I think the leave encashment policy is widely variant , depending on industry being operated in. Being from the IT industry, i can share the following details with you, on an average basis:

1) Can you pls tell me about the leave policies in your company (outline)?

EL/PL

SL

CL

Wedding Leave

Bereavement Leave

ML

Spl ML

Leave with-out Pay

2) How many leaves are there in your company?

Avg days per year being 30-33 in IT Companies ( EL, SL, CL)

3) How many days of leaves (PL/EL) are allowed to be accumulated yearly in your company?

Ranges between 30- 45 days in IT Industry (30 being min offered)

4) If the leaves (PL/EL) are accumulated above the prescribed limit, then does the leaves lapses or it gets encashed?

Very different between each company. While my current company has lapse policy, previous company had encash policy.

5) Whether encashment of leaves (PL/EL) are given on basic or on monthly salary?

Most IT companies follow monthly fixed salary component ( since Variable salary is a big component as well).

Hope this helps!
