hi poonam,
u mean to say the pf amount deducted from her salary for 2 months will go waste ?
suppose if some one's basic is around 25000/- then 12% i.e.Rs.3000 +Rs.3000=6,000/- from employer will be wasted? and cant be withdrawn?
Are u sure? have u cheked it with pf dept.or simply saying?
kindly someone reply confidently regarding 10C also.

In order to get withdrawal benefit of Pension Fund contribution the employee should have worked and contributed at least for six months. This is because for Pension calculations, any period over six months is taken as one year and less than six months is ignored. When that benefit is available to the employees, why should two months' contribution be taken very seriously. This applies to Pension Fund contribution of 8.33% of Rs 6500 only and the amount contributed by the employee @ 12% and the employer's contribution to Provident Fund @ 3.67% is available to the employee for withdrawal.
