Hi everyone,
I am working with an event mgmt company which has recently been started. it got operational from nov2007. im the only one working in hr.we have no performance appraisal system in place here. we ve our branches in mumbai, bangalore, kolkata etc.
nw i ve to present a performance appraisal system to my boss asap.
I ve no idea abt the appraisal system as im a fresher. can u plz help me .
i want to know how n where do we begin evaluating performance. wat kind of info is required and wat formats would i need. i want a simple appraisal system.
if someone can provide me with a sample syetm, it would be v useful...

Hi shweta,
i am giving you a format which is used in our company.
you just fill up the KRA's of each individual in it and calulate as per the calulation mentioned in the format.
this format is not only based on KRA's but also behavioural attributes.

Hi Shweta,
Most companies have performance management policies and processes
that require, among other things, an annual formal written evaluation
for each employee. Some companies go further and also require quarterly
reviews.
Normally following steps are in most of the IT companies:-

Quarterly/half yearly/yearly performance review
Self performance review
Performance review from Head of Department
Performance review from HR
After probation.
Appraisal
Confirmation with / without increment

After confirmation.
Yearly increment
Standard / Special / Outstanding
Promotion

Reviewer is :-who is going to sign at the end.
For comman form(Singal form) : Reviewer will be top of the authority (In our case VP is reviwer)
Procedure is:-
We circulate the single form to first Head of the respective department/project manager: with his comments he/she'll forward the form to the HR department : with the comments of HR it will go to VP (Vice President) : in the presence of / the discussion with HR & HOD/PL, the VP sign the performance review form. That's why in this case VP is reviewer.
