Dear Colleagues,

The role of HR in this kind of situation would include but not limited to the following:

Managing Change: HR would bring to use his/her effectiveness in how to manage change and people adapting to changes-eg new titles, reporting channnels, compensation schemes, general changes in policies and its implementation.

Diversity Management: Closely linked to the above is the issue of managing diversity-basically this is a marriage of some sort hence-people from diverse career background talkless of cultural and perceptional orientation.

HR would have to see to it that no one feels neglected or marginalized within the new dispensation.

Training/Development: HR would take it upon him/herself to see to it that appropriate induction, training is recommended and approved for virtually all categories of employees-this would include-conversion courses for those changing departments, fast-track courses for those to be promoted and probably resettlement/retirement workshops for those to be eased-out of the system.

Compensation/Benefits: HR would see to it that he/she recommends the most equitable compensatory scheme for the newly merged Company especsially as it relates to the industry they find themself, in addition those to be let off the hook should be compensated accordingly.

The role HR is to consistently find ways of formulating policies that are People Friendly and as long as Human Beings are the one at the Workplace new policies would always be needed to be formulated and eventually implemented when approved.

Thanks.

Hi !
Role of HR would be, searching for agency / event management companies and ask for roadshow / promotions to do and take their quote & discuss with them.
For more details about roadshows / promotions across country you can write to or - Ms.Satyavati Rao.

Dear Friend,
First & the foremost thing to be done in this case is make all the new policies and strategies that are to be followed very much clear to all of ur people coz until n unless these things are not clear to them they wont be able to put there best at their work place.
Also try to spot problems along with solutions while discussing about people management, organization culture and saying the same to ur executives.
Since u have to manage both way i.e the new company's expectations as well as ur old people base.It will ba uri team who will be helping these people to cop up with new trends na strategies of the company.
Hope u got my point of view.

from an employee’s point of view, i would like to be reassured about my job, and my position in the firm :) it could probably help if the decisions made are transparent
