Dear Friends,
I am Shivani, working with a manufacturing organization in HR department. As we all know, time is changing & this is a "Green Era" we all r living in..So,following that i have started with a couple of "GREEN HR INITIATIVES" in my company.
One of them is "Tree plantation" by the employees on their birthdays. I am a little curious to know what kind of "Green HR practices" are followed in other companies. Kindly share the same. Any suggestion, advices, creative ideas are welcomed..

Dear Shivani,
first of all i would like to congratulate for your work done being using Green HR practices in your organisation.
As per my knowledge if we are able to reduce the wastage, then we are also taking a step forward towards Green HR.On the same node, we can take step to reduce the wastage of papers, electricity, water & time.
So try to educate your employees for the same.
Hope it would be beneficial for you.

Dear Shivani ,

I would like to appriciate your intiative that you are implementing new things in your organisation so i would also like to contribute in yr Green Hr Initatives by suggesting you a new thing .Tree plantation is very good idea but i am also having an other idea which you implement and your organisation people will enjoye it.......most of the time in organisations we are used to to conduct fun activities so you can organise a rame show on social massges like save trees ,to help the environment and because of that your all office mate can participate and they would have fun as well..........otherwise you can celebtrate the day as SAVE TREE DAY..as all will have to wear green at that day and they will have to come with a massage ......hope you like my suggestion

Hello seniors:
I am ruban kumar pursuing MSW (HR) in mar gregorios college. My suggestion is to reduce the plastics in your organisation used by the employees and give small plant as a incentives to the employees. So by giving the small plants we can appreciate the employees as well as we can plant trees outside the organization.Should reduce the chemical wastages by the organization it may help full in air pollution. These were some of my suggestions. If its is wrong seriously sorry seniors.
Thanks and regards

Dear Shivani

Congratulations for starting the Green HR Practices in your organisation

You can further insist all the staff members that they should not go for any unwanted Print out by which the paper consumption can be reduced and the print outs are required only for maintaining the statutory obligations, as the same is required by Government Authorities.

For any internal correspondence it should only be through e mails and File Transferring Portals. For safety we can link our official e mail id with G mail email id and whatever mail we get in Official e mail id it will automatically get transferred to Gmail and if the official mail got deleted too they can preserve the mail in gmail and as and when required it can be used.

for the purpose of salary credit paysheets should also be prepared in soft copy and sent to the employees e mail id and the salary should be credited in their bank Account. By that you are having a fool proof record.

Thank you for creating the awareness about Global Warming Dear

Hi Shivani ji,
Your efforts are praise worthy - I salute.
Heres one suggestion,Try to convince employees and encourage them not to use vehicles for a day at least once a fort night. It will not only save fuel, but contribute towards reducing pollution as well as money too.
Thanks.
