I posted this Mail in March this year but good to see someone replying to atlast.
"Quality Circles is a informal Group of 7 -12 members meeting regularly on weekly basis to discuss Quality &productivity related issues,and other problems of shopfloor."
It is akind of platform for workers at grassroot to put forward their views and solve their own problems with help of upper management.
I wanted some examples from Indian industry in which these Quality Circles are Working Presently.

Quality circles are , yes a small group of employees yearning to find solutions to the most minutest aspects that mar the chances of an outcome which is nearly perfect. It's a sort of brain storming circle where in all the participants will try to contribute their doubts, knowledge on a particular issue in question and also their noteworthy observations. In every sphere of activity we find these circles in one form or other. for example there are core committees in political parties, group of ministers or committee of ministers constituted for finding solution to a problem without sacrificing the welfare of people , financial committment and the political mileage . At international level we find G7 countries etc where in some select members who are very much concerned about an issue arising unexpectedly or having some yearning to better the performance in the area of common interest will participate in such groups.
The watch word is how to frame a strategy to come out with improved performance quality wise, cost effectiveness wise.
