There is confusion for me . I would appreciate if some one differentiate between self image and self esteem. Can we use this one for self esteem too? vinod

@vinod
Self Image is how we see ourselves internally (good, bad etc) . Self Esteem is the level of pride, respect we have on ourselves.
A high level of self image leads to a good self esteem.
A dented self image (complex, self pity) leads to low self esteem.
Hope I'm clear. Others are welcome to share their point of view.

Dear Vinod,
Have you searched the web before posting your query? If not, please do so. By using Google and searching for "self image and esteem connection" I found 3 scholarly articles and 268,000 hits.
Have a nice day.

Hi, Very good questionnaire, liked especially the anlysis part of the questionnaire. May be we can use as a selection tool in some of the cases. Thanks, Shankar

Good one. It can also be used as part of interview. I would also request a further research and more posting on the same topic.

Thanks Viswananthan,
for nurturing a healthy discussion, which a forum like this is meant for. I had a similar query as the one Vinod had and was looking for some discussions further and Arun davay offers some clarity, while Simhan's came as a bocker for further thoughts/views on this.
Dear Simhan,
Let's carry on the discussion 'here and now' and it'd be great if you can share your insights (you got from reading the scholarly net articles) on how we can distinguish between self image and self respect.
Inquisitively yours,

Discussion based on sound research is better than just expressing views. If bloggers have not time to search and find out, I am extremely sorry for the state of lethargy that we have developed. It appears from a lot of requests here for preoject reports, questionnaires for studies, etc., that people are resorting to easy ways. There are a few who would think that spoon-feeding is bad.

I am used to making my students self learners. For example, see my post at https://www.citehr.com/49496-regardi...ivation-2.html

I am sorry, if I have touched some raw nerves of some bolggers. Instead of requesting me to add to the discussion after reading the scholary articles I suggest that bloggers that advised me read the articles and then add to the discussion.

Dear Vishwanathan,

I have only requested people to read the articles. I have never said do not post and share; but have requested people to give due credit to the source from where they got the published material.

Have a lovely day.

Mr.Simhan has always been the first to assist, help, guide people with genuine questions and doubts. Have seen lots of his replies answering patiently though the questions have always been repeated like Projects on MBA etc.,
In the above reply too, he has asked us to go through few articles, which can give the members better insights.
Lets Respect, Share knowledge and continue healthy discussions.
