I have completed the 7 years of job in my earlier co.
Can I asked to him regarding payment of Gratuity ? Because I joined in Aug.-02 TO Sep-09. But in this period I have worked 3 & 1/2 Years in there sisterconcern co. and another 3 & 1/2 years in there Main Co. between this two co. there will be not a single gap and I am not received any appointment letter from main co.
In the above said two co. both the directors are same.
Please relay on this because it's very important for me. I know that we can claim the gratuity after 7 years but in this case can i ask for the same.

Gratuity can be claimed after completion of 5 years of continuous service in an organisation. Here in your case if you have worked on the payroll of one company for all together 7 years, you can claim for the gratuity.

Majorly, you don't have a letter of appointment meaning you are not qualify for gratuity. In any organisation you work for, you must receive a letter of appointment must first before anything.
