I have one query!! & the query is:-
Can we give Edu. Allow to a person who is not married & not having any children for the purpose of tax saving from their salary.

Hi Soma,
Yes we can but there are a few clauses to the same.
If the person is asking for Educational Allowance for a child when he's not married then he should produce a documentary legal evidence that he's the legal custodian of the child.

Thank you for your comment vishal. But i have seen that many company give Edu. allowance to save tax to their employee who are not married. thanks, Soma

Dear Vishal
At times education allowance is given to the empoyee if an employee is further taking education. It need not necessary be for a child. In this case the question of marriage doesnot arise. An employee can avail tax benefit by taking education loan.
