Dear Friends,
Iam in a company which is deeply connected with water, so incorder to celebrate the World Water Day, we conducted an online quiz for all our employees. There were 25 selected questions which they had to answer.
This quiz competition was open to all employees and open only for 1 day i.e. 22nd March.
Attached herewith is a file which has more than 25 questions.
This was my basic homework for the question paper out of which we just selected 25 questions for the day.
Hope you all would like and if necessary incorporate something like this in your circle also if work culture and the enviornment permits.
Did you know?

Avoiding wastage of water directly by sealing leakages, more conscious during consumption of usage of water directly is not the only way to conserve water - Avoiding wastage of everything results in water saving.

Apparently - when we think of water usage we usually think of only the water we use from our taps.
This actually is not the fact. The fact is all the things we use every day need water to create them including our clothing, furniture, building materials and just about everything else we use.

There is absolutely no industry in this world which does not utilize water for its business purpose.

Did you know that by avoiding wastage of food also we can conserve water – how?

It takes 2400 litres of water to create a hamburger, The water used in creating the hamburger includes water to grow the food the cow eats, water that the cow drinks, water for processing the meat and also water for cleaning the cow.

Similarly, it takes 2000 litres to create a t-shirt, 32 litres of water to create a microchip and 140 litres to create a cup of coffee.

So remember everytime you leave your cup of coffee half consumed you waste around 70 liters of water.
So Put on your thinking caps and if possible come out with more innovative and effective ways to save water.

We usually take a lot of resolutions during the new year – this is a season of Hindu New Year – with Gudi padwa, Ugadi & Cheti Chand just gone and Poila Boishakh, Baishakhi nearing. Let us decide for ourself a different kind of resolution for this new year.
What is that one thing that you will do (and continue doing forever) as your contribution towards Water Conservation.
Thanks & Regards,
Bharathi Sarkar

Dear Ms Sarkar,
I am writing on behalf of the Schools Water Portal (Schools Water Portal) a web based platform for sharing water knowledge among school communities. We have a fairly extensive oral quiz database and keep changing the multiple choice quiz questions on the home page every once in a while.
We request your permission to use the questions you have collected and put it up on the Schools Water Portal. We will definitely acknowledge your contribution. If you have any other questions or content that we can put up on the portal, please send them to us.
Many thanks,
Geetha Rajagopal
