Dear Seniors,

In a consultancy scenario where we need to submit resumes to clients how can we reduce duplicate resumes?

Example :

Requirement ABC is given to Consultancy 1,Consultancy 2, Consultancy 3,Consultancy 4, Consultancy 5,Consultancy 6.

All the Consultancies target the same source for recruiting (Job Portals).

There is one resume which is targetted by all the above Consultancies. Each of the consultancy calls the candidate and the resume is submitted to the client by all the consultancies.....

Somtimes when we ask the candidate if he has faced any interview with the client or even his resume has been processed to the client before he/she bluntly denies it......

In this scenario how can we give a resume to the Client which is not Duplicate or which is not submitted earlier by any of the above Consultancies?

Please help........

Hi, Usually, that’s the reason companies aask for PAN number... You have have PAN number of candidates which will be unique and than simple EXCEL formula will solve your problem... Punit

This would normally happen only where there is bulk recruitment going on in a company or if the profile required is unique and right kind of candidate are few. The suggest following steps to ensure that the candidate remains in your fold even if he is approached by some other consultancy for the same profile.
1. Talk to the candidate before you short-list his / her resume for the profile.
2. Try to build rapport with him/her and make him comfortable about the new company and profile.
3. Assure him that you can arrange an interview and that you can create a positive image with client about his/her profile
4. Take commitment from him/her that he/she would attend the interview if called for.
5. Keep a track of the candidate and give a follow-up call post his/her interview.
The key is to maintain excellent rapport with the candidates under such circumstances.
