Hi Arun,

I am working on somehting similar and would like to share the ideas I have. What will help you is thinking from the perspective of a new joinee and what kind of gestures will be valued by him/her.

The first and the foremost thing is there should be someone from the HR department to attend them at the reception on the day of joining and personally escort them. This gesture speaks volumes......

Moving ahead we can categorize new joinees based on (entry levels/middle management/top management like Directors,GMs etc) and customize the welcome accordingly.

Like entry level new joinee is excited and at the same time nrevous as he/she is unaware of the whereabouts....so to make them feel more confident and comfortable u can share a visual tour of the company highlighting areas like canteen/cafe/stationary joint/ATM/MEdical aid etc.

Also I have seen most of the new joinees are eager to understand their salary structure so that can be expalined to them as well.

The joinees to middle and top level management are more interested in knowing about the business...and who is who of the company....so that can be shared and ofcourse they should be attended by some senior HR official with a more defined schedule.

Let me know if this was of any help.

Thanks

Hi Arun,
You can welcome the employee by giving them a Welcome letter then gradually showing them the corporate AV on the products, key people, and the key places. Also in our organization we arrange the lunch for the new joinee.
I hope this helps.
