Hi Arora:
At asst.Manager level, you may have to supervise some junior functionaries. You need to have good knowledge on recruitment, developing systems and procedures for senior management. You need to be good communicator. You already have four years experience in HR.
Your expereince will stand in good stead.
Advance goodwishes for success in your interview and for a full bloom
in your carrer.

I would like to share some of my views over here....

So, what is th basic difference between an EXECUTIVE and a MANAGER??

Executive is the one who implements the things and Manager is the one that manage things. A person can become a manager if he has experience, yes, right, but can he survive with the experience. I mean to say, what does an employer expect from an experienced candidate.

To answer it simply, ACCOUNTABILITY is the APT word according to me.

So, what does this ACCOUNTABILITY actually mean....

If you are an executive and working on an assignment and unfortunately, if things are not working according to the expectations even after effots, you have got your MANAGER to take it ahead and answer the management. So, now, wuld this bre easy for a really spirited manager to say "NO, I am some how unable to do it successfully".

If he is a spirited manager, I dont think so that he can answer it with ease as his executive does. The reason being, EXECUTIVE, is still in learning process and he might not be knowing as many as the ways that experienced person does. So, if you have learnt the ways in these years of experience and if you can guide your team then you can be a MANAGER.

This is what i think is the QUALITY for a person to be a MANAGER.

so, the basic qaulity would be ACCCOUNTABILITY for each and everything he does and his team does.

Also, I would like experienced people and professionals over here to comment on the qualities that manager does have in the present corporate scenario.

Expecting as many responses and different view points.
