Hi Can anyone help me with how HR consultancies work and their source of income???

HI, Normaly the consultancy charge the company as per the experience it could be 1month salary or from 8-12% of CTC.

HR Consultancy searches profiles from job portals based on the job descriptions and position requirements received by them from their clients (i.e. Companies). they send the selected profiles tot he companies where they shortlist and then the consultant arrange the interviews for the shortlisted candidates with the companies.
Once the candidate joins the company, the payment is made to the consultant based on the agreement between the consultancy and the company whether the payment should be made on what percentage.
If the candidate leaves the company within 3 months time, then the company recruits and selects the other candidate from the same consultancy but without any payment (based on the agreement)...

I think here we are talking of placement consultancy and not hr consultancy since hr consultancy deals in providing an establishment with back office infastructural support for being in confirmity with all the related laws and legislations
on the contrary, in placement consultancy, thepercentage and other things become necessary as said by many of you

HR recruitment Consultancies Source candidates and supply candidates/manpower to companies/corporates and in exchange of that they charge company of 8.33 to 12 % of candidate's annual gross salary. Some HR consultants even take candidate on thier payroll [temperory staffing] . and these candidates work for company.
Apart from recruitment some consultants take work of payroll, salary or calculating PF, ESI amount/returns of employees of companies. Thanks & rgrds, VS Kulkarani

Recuitment is one of the work in HR Consultancies, they charge 6.5 % to 10 % according to their standards on CTC, they wont charge from Candidate. Othe Consultancy workds are staffing, organizing, training, development..... by providing these sevices to the company they will charge.

Dear All,
We a Placement consultancy have tie-up with an employer. In our agreement we have mentioned that the employer should mention the terms of the position ( like any agreements etc.,). But they didn;t inform us any thing and simply had given the candidates qualification & exp. But at the time of interview they have asked the candidates 2 years agreement and certificate surrender for two year which the employer dind;t inform us. After the interview is over, they said we don want any candidates from ur side as u r not convincing candidates for agreement and other things and by pass us and directly contact the candidates. But we also mentioned that the employer should not contact the candidate directly till the date of joining. Legally What we have to do now?
Kindly advise.
