Hi All
We conduct an employee orientation program (1 day program) for all our new entrants every month as every other company does. We talk about the vision, mission, history of the organisation & take them through some team building activities so that the interaction with the new entrants are good. It is mainly front-ended by the HR Team.
During the 2nd half of the day, we also take them through a session on business etiquettes etc.
Please suggest - what else need to be added to the program especially in terms of business etiquettes, to make it more lively. Also would be very helpful if you can share some of the ppt files you are using now (if it does not conflict with the interests of your organisation)
Note : Most of them we hire are either Diploma or Graduate Engineers - Freshers to 15 years of experience.
Thanks in advance
With Best Regards

Hi,
In my company i used to be coordinator for orientation program...what we used to take care through this program are total integration of employee and company...
1) we used to make it a 4 days program, with 3 days of conference type and last day a plant visit.
2)In those 3 days of hall orientation, we used to take them through company profile, history, structure..... and also each of the function head gives there presentation on their function and related them to every other function to give a clear picture of total integration.
3)then we take them to a plant visit and sale frontline visit to give them a clear know how of the way the actual business is running in the real environment.
and also we provide a peer friend to every new employee to accommodate quickly into our environment and culture of office norms spoken and non spoken norms...
Thanks
Rajiv
You also feel free to ask me more if want to something specifically.
