Hi All,
I have been assigned a new assignment in my company. The company is a manufacturing and trading concern of bicycle and auto parts.
The objectives of this assignment are:
  • Right man at right place
  • To identify non - performers
  • To list out activities of a particular department; say accounts, HR etc. and fair division of work between the subordinates.
  • To identify reasons of attrition.
Please suggest me how to start it so that i can achieve all the objectives.

Dear Samikshaa,
You have a big task at hand though your post is quite small.
You start with identification of competencies for every job. Once you do that start doing competency-based recruitment. Secondly, start conducting performance appraisal based on those competencies.
Reasons of attrition are many. Start fixing them that are obvious.
To do all the above, will take at least one and half or two years.

I have started with the same. And also with the inearction with
1. employees on their JDs to check out the actual work load on employees,
2. their career graph to identify whether he is progressive in his life, if any of his previous exp can be utilised by our Co.,
3. his interst area; if he wants any changes in his profile.
4. And some other ques to find out the satisfaction level.
Please giev me your valuable inputs on it.
