Dear Ruchi,
The formula for Attrition is
(No of employees resigned/Average manpower)*100
Average Manpower = (Opening Manpower + Closing manpower)/2
*opening/closing manpower could be either the calendar year beginning or financial year beginning whichever you follow.

Dear,
Attrition = employees left * 100 / (opening balance in a month+no of employees joined in a month+no of employees left + no of employees at the end of the month
For example : 100 employees at the start of the month, 10 new employees joined you during the month, 25 employees left in the month and you're finally left with 85 employees at the end of the month
Attrition = 25*100/100+10+25+85
the percentage answar is 11.36%

Dear All,
Iam bit confused with the formula on which one to follow,
can someone help me in clarifying which would be the proper one to use,
Attrition = employees left * 100 / (opening balance in a month+no of employees joined in a month+no of employees left + no of employees at the end of the month
No of employees resigned/Average manpower)*100
((no. Of attritions x 100) / (Actual Employees + New Joined)) /100
