tqm actually aims at achieving quality at all levels....quality of work can only be derived by havg quality workforce..n hrd deals wid improving d quality of workforce of the org so dat dey r successfully retained by d org.
industry practices
various orgs today practice 6 sigma, poka yoke, kaizen etc..in order to eradicate defects if any,...i.e. zero defect, zero loss funda...

yes, To improve Qulity of HR- TQM principles are handy. Actually TQM is pre-built in HRD, because TQM is in People's forte.
TQM implies Continual improvement, so does HR.
The focus of TQM is Customer Satisfaction... Does HR stay away?
process approach is the paradigm of TQM, can HR be behind in neglecting Training (as process)?
India fowllows Rajiv Gandhi Quality award- Golden Peacock.- ( improved from C/f Malcolm Baldrige national Quality Award of USA)
Tata's have their excellence model (again imported! and Refurbished- If it is not, I am sorry then, but better improve it).
