Dear Kavita :
Christmas is a joyous occasion celebrated all over the world.
The joy can be for self and for others.
I, our family and our friends/colleagues personally enjoy keeping others enjoyed.
Hence we, forming a small group, visit Orphanages, homes for aged, Children ward at Kidwai Cancer Institute at Bangalore and gift the inmates of these institutes with small gifts and some eats.
By seeing them happy and sometimes sharing their intimacy with us, we are overjoyed.
May be you can - by ear-marking the amount and time that you would like to spend on Christmas eve for self-enjoyment, be spent with others such as above. Feel the joy and enjoy.
Best regards and a very Merry Christmas to you in advance.

Hi,
I also have the idea of exchanging gifts...but in a little different way...I'm not sure if you already know it.....There is one more week for Christmas....Why don't you try the " Secret Santa" game.... Make chits with all the employees names and ask each one of them to pick a chit......Let them keep the name in the chit discreet.... The whole week the secret santa (the person who picked the chit) would keep sending some clues to the angel (whose name was picked) without disclosing his/ her name....and the angel should try and find out who his or her santa is....and on Christmas day....you can get all of them together and reveal their respective santa's names.......This way the whole week will be exciting....Its upto the Santa to buy any gift...but please make sure everyone gets some gift or the other.....atleast a chocolate.... We tried this in our team and it really worked....all my team members enjoyed it.

And hey Sunitha thanks for that brilliant " Secret Santa" game. I am very excited to play this game in my organization.
I will let you know how the X’mas celebration has finally shaped out.

Hi Kavita,
Rightly said that spending time with orphanages , old age home as suggested by Dhinakaran is absolutely brilliant idea..after all x-mas is about sharing and reaching out to people and celebrating life..
Since this occassion falls on Monday and since you are based in Mumbai ..you can consider the theme party at boat on 24th Dec'06 ( Sunday) at Gateway of India..
Best wishes,
