Silence is the mother of all skills.
When you lack some skill, sit quietly for a moment.
Then that part of the brain becomes active, that can give you intuition and ideas.
Silence is the mother of all skills, innovations, and inventions.

A few moments of quietness is the first step.

Take a step away from the situation.

When you are in a situation, you cannot be a good judge – you have to step out of the situation for a minute and look at it.

Through quietness: you will gain the skill right there!:icon5:

I am 100% agree with you , very true , even in some cases i observe that if you keep shut your mouth , other person understand and take action as he wants to take.

Dear Sharmaji;

Love!

I understand that there is a difference between silence and quietness. Quietness means to keep the mouth shut and no dialogs. But Silence means to keep even the mind shut and no monologues, no thinking. You must have observed that all the time we do not speak, but the mind is constantly thinking and monologues continue during our waking state. Whereas during the night, when we sleep, the dreams take place of the thinking and monologues.

Sometimes monologues also continue during the dream and it turns in to dialogs, if the situation is beyond our control. You must have heard people talking in sleep or sometimes shout also. Scientists say that a healthy person takes only 4 minutes sleep during his sleeping time for 6 to 8 hours. During the day time we keep on peddling the mind and it hardly stops. The complete stop of mind is the state of silence. And that silence is the mother of all inventions. This doesn't mean that all inventions are done without thinking. It only says that silence has great power and it provides tremendous energy which helps us to use our brain in its full capacity.

Now what we experience in our life is, when we stuck up with some problem and after so much thinking and thinking, if we do not find any solution to it we leave it for some time and re-look to the problem again after some time and suddenly, we found the solution to the problem. This happens because many a time while dealing with some problem, we concentrate so much and concentration makes the circle narrow and we miss the periphery. But when we divert our attention to some other thing and re-assess the same after some time then again the circle becomes wider and what could not be seen with a focused mind will be noticed with a wider focus. This is how our mind and brain functions.

Dear Rich;

Love;

Meaning of Life is not in the dictionary. To know the life you need to live it with great intensity and awareness. Also know that words have limitations, it can not give you any meaning. Say for example, “Mango is sweet" What do you understand just by words. Hardly anything, if you have never tasted it in your life. For knowing the sweetness of mango you need to taste it. I hope this is clear to you.

Secondly you are saying, “It doesn't mean that brain stops working when you are silent"

My dear friend, I did not say so. I said your mind stops, when you are completely silent. Understand the difference between mind and brain. Do not search dictionary but know from your experience.

Brain is the hardware like various part of our body, which is tangible. Hence brain tumor can be operated. But for mind tumor no doctor can help you. Mind constitutes what you have gathered and stored within you in your several lives. We call it Sanskara. It works like different programs work in computer.

One child takes birth in Hindu family and another in Muslim and both carry different Sanskara (Program). If some one abuse Krishna, the Hindu boy will become angry, not a Muslim boy. This happens because they have different programmed mind. Their brain may be same, but mind is not the same. You know our mind is programmed with one or the other Sanskara and we carry it in another birth also. These Sanskara or the programs are active in us and motivate our thinking pattern and action. The root cause of our most problems is our programmed mind, our Sanskara. I hope this elaborative answer will clear my point of view.
