Workers may take the number of days they would normally work in a 6-week period for sick leave on full pay in a 3-year period.
However, during the first 6 months of employment, workers are only entitled to 1 day of paid sick leave for every 26 days worked.
Based on Legislation in Section 22, of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act

From India, Lucknow
The Leave Entitlement pattern is:
Earned leave:
1. Under factories' Act:
One day for every 20 days worked. It works out to 15 days ina year.
2. Under Shops Act (Delhi):
Five days for every four months' of working. it works out to 15 days ina calendar year.
Casual & Sick Leave:
Normally the two are clubbed to make it 12 days. Under some state laws it is 6 days Sick Leave and 7 days' CL.
The Company I worked for:
1. EL : 30 Days
2. CL & Sick 12 days
3. national & Festival Holidays: 12 days.
