Two traveling angels

Keep reading to the bottom of the page -- don't
stop at the feet (You'll see).

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night
in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels
stay in the mansion's guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in
the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the
older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel
replied,

"Things aren't always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house
of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his
wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple
let the angels sleep in their bed where they could
have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels
found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole
income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the
older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him,
she accused.

The second family had little but was willing to
share everything, and you let the cow die.

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older
angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I
noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the
wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and
unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the
wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed,
the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him
the cow instead.

Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things
don't turn out the way they should. If you have
faith, you just need to trust that every out come
is always to your advantage. You just might not
know it until some time later...

Some people
come into our lives
and quickly go..

Some people
become friends
and stay awhile....

leaving beautiful
footprints on our
hearts...

and we are
never
quite the same
because we have
made a good
friend!!

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present!

So nice of u Nithya................really its a very special thread and am happy to share some stories and here it goes

Three short Stories...............with great moral

A man attended an interview for a job.

Along the corridor, he picked up a piece and threw it into a dustbin.

The interviewer passed by and saw it.

This man got the job.

Moral of the story:

Live with good habits, and you will be recognised.

A small boy worked as an apprentice in a bicycle shop.

A man sent a bicycle for repair.

After repairing the bicycle, this boy cleaned up the bicycle and it looked like a new one.

Other apprentices laughed at him for doing redundant work.

The second day after the owner claimed the bicycle back, this boy was pinched and offered a job.

Moral of the story :

1.Go the extra mile to be successful.

2. Doing more gains more & Doing less loses more.

A shop is always brightly lit up.

Someone asked : “What brand of bulb are you using ? It is so lasting.”

The shop owner replied : “Our bulbs blew out frequently. We replaced them once a bulb blew out.”

Moral of the story:

1. It is simple to maintain brightness , change the bulbs regularly.

2. To brightening up everyday life : Endeavour to abandon unwholesome states of mind and make an effort to encourage wholesome states to grow.

Well Nithya, Here it goes...

An incident which remained a sweet memory about my College..:icon1:

College days are really very lovely & Fun filled...No College without a Principal..And, When I say Principal, everytime this incident comes to my mind..almost spontaneously!!:p

This happened in my second year of college...:icon10:

Our gang and few more from Bio-chemistry had planned to bunk college and go to a movie. There were two entrances in our college. Since, we could not use the front entrance which was close to the Principal's room, we used the back gate as many usually do.:icon9:

We had to cross 3 class rooms on the ground floor which had wide windows to go to the road, one of which happened to be our own classroom.:icon7: We safely crossed two & when it was the time to cross our's, the boys waved us to pass through. When we were half way, they suddenly whistled and shouted WOO-HOO. (I can still remember the reactions of the girls).

15 minutes later, we all (a total set of 18 girls) landed up in the Principal's room. :no:As usual, after initial yelling and scoldings, he started his lecture of advises...and we stood silently. After he finished and our patience was tested , we started from our side..Requesting, pleading......... nothing worked and we had to bring our parents the next day to meet him as instructed.

Later, we found the boys who shouted was the gang which was close to us.:icon5:

And as for the boys, one can imagine their poor plight later on !!!

It was real hell for them the next few days till we girls cooled...:icon6:

To this day, they call me and my friends DEVILS.

Okay.. Now let me share an incident...

I Studied my 9th Standard at Bangalore.... In our class we were totally 5 girls. and 10 boys.. And we had seniors 10th standard only Guys around 20..

We girls go to all the places togather in and arround the School premises. I Come to school by cycle i drive around 8 kilometers. and part it in a branch of my school ( Hebbal) and go to my main school

( kodigehalli). In my school bus.

Our Friends and I Were noticed by my seniors.. and each guy started troubling us.

One Guy named Shiva Shankar.. Troubled a ton. He used to follow us to lab , play ground , canteen and so on... so what i did i spoke to english teacher Sudha Mam , she was his class incharge. And i was loved so much by her.

She suggested me to ignore him and his acts.

One day Rakhi came............ we all girls planned to tie to all the 20 boys so that the concerned guys will not run away. we took permision of Sudha mam and we went to their class...

I Remember Shiva's TEAR FELL ON MY HAND When i was tieing him Rakhi. Now he started following me from Hebbal Junction till Ganga nalli... St. Pauls School where i cross that area.

Then he was stopping me from going forward ans was explaining me he can not survive with out me.................. and other craps what immature guy say a gal...

One day he cut his hand because i called him brother i tied rakhi to u don bahave like this. that was day i wrote my final exam last day of 9th standard life. I was troubled for 0ne year this way. even now i think of it i get terrified
