Only if you can realise that by diverting train on unused track you are putting many manty more lives at risk ,you will be able to take correct decision.Moral you should be able to judge the relative risks involved.

To be honest 90% will choose to divert train on non operational track and sacrifice 1 child. but true non operational track can endanger life of passengers also.
This was an EYE OPENER . b4 taking decison we must must pause, be rational and NOT jump to conclusion. and probably ie what is thumb rule of a decison maker. Think and Act.

Was it not possible to stop the train in its tracks and have a win win situation for all?. Just hypothesising. Another angle is that should we accept that the sensible ones are always sacrificed no matter what. We see that happenning everyday around us - the foolishness of the many vs sensibility of a few!!!
