We have always discussed about Appraisal process for the employees in our Organization.
But HOW to assess an HR, how do I assess my HR executive reporting to me, what are criterias to be considered. This is my first experience to assess and HR exec.
Please help...............if you have any methodologies or template etc.. please share.

Dear Vara,
The procedure will be same to assess HR executive also. The basic fundamental to assess any employee is to evaluate his performance against his KRA's or Job Responsibilities.
You may use the same format as you are using for other employees.

To assess HR executive is very simple provided you already have predefine what is their goals in the beginning of the year.
Is the performance met your "client" expectation if your team is 4th generation HR (Business Partner to your business).

Apprecaite all your suggestions and Thank you very much for time.
I have a hitch there, as the operations template for company employees are very number driven and objective, I am not able to do the same with the team (HR Team) as the Assessment is so subjective. I personally want to avoid subjective in my Assessment.
Could anybody share your experiance of a template used for HR Assessment so I could refer the same to customize it for my team.

These is my suggestion.
1. Use SMART to define the their Goal. Make sure their goal align to your business Goal.
2. Review their goal every 3 months if they are new employee and 6 month if they are old time.
3. Request each HR team member to present their SWOT in 1 page.
4. Provide advice to ensure your team are on right track.

My boss want a report to understand human captial in the organization and internal labor market for each business organization. He does not need it now, if will be better if it is available yesterday, that is my goal.
I committed and defined my project boundary and deliverable. I am able to present my result within 6 weeks and exceeded his expectation.
With this information, he use it to measure each country HR director performance.
